Yahshua the Messiah: Truth About His Death and Resurrection
What is the truth about the death and resurrection of Yahshua the Messiah? This is one Bible study teaching that you won’t want to miss! Read and share this eye-opening biblical revelation until the very end for blessings.
The story of the resurrection of Yahshua the Messiah is one of the most significant events in Judaism and Christianity. According to the Bible, Yahshua was crucified on a Wednesday and was buried the same day.
Yahshua remained in the tomb for three full days and nights, and on the third day, which was a Saturday, He was resurrected by Almighty Yahweh, the Father in heaven.
Meanwhile, the man-made tradition of Yahshua’s crucifixion on a Friday and His resurrection on a Sunday is well-known and celebrated around the world. Do you believe it? Are you deceived and a victim of this false doctrine?
In today’s message, we’ll examine the facts and debunk the lies that are floating around for a very long time surrounding the issue.
However, the Wednesday theory suggests the traditional timelines are inaccurate. The theory suggests that Yahshua was actually crucified on a Wednesday and placed in the tomb just before sunset. He then remained in the tomb for 3 full days and nights, and was resurrected on the Sabbath, which is Saturday.
Surprised and confused by the things you’re reading so far? Don’t be! I know these things may be new to many of you, but ask and pray for the Holy Spirit to help you understand these heavenly things. I’d like you all now to have an open mind and to pay very close attention to what I’m about to say.
In this humble ministry, we strive to study, teach, and preach the sacred words that are actually written in the Bible. No guessing and false pretense here. We’re faithful and true to our foundational mission and statement of beliefs that the Bible truth matters!
Relating to our topic, for example, Yahshua said that He would be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights, which would be difficult to reconcile with a Friday crucifixion and Sunday resurrection!
Additionally, the Gospels mention that the women who went to the tomb to anoint Yahshua’s body did so “very early on the first day of the week,” which would be Sunday. If Yahshua had risen on Sunday, it seems unlikely that the women would have waited until early Sunday morning to go to the tomb.
The Wednesday theory also emphasizes the significance of Yahshua being dead for three full days and nights, which is often overlooked in the traditional timeline!
Again, as regards to the death and resurrection of Yahshua mentioned in the Bible, what’s the real truth? The Savior of humanity Yahshua was crucified on a Wednesday while many man-made theories out there believe He was crucified on a Friday. Sadly, many professing Christians fall for the Friday crucifixion and Sunday resurrection!
Here are 3 biblical proofs why we believe Yahshua could not have been crucified on a Friday and resurrected on a Sunday:
1. The Bible clearly states that Yahshua would be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights, just as Jonah was in the belly of a fish for three days and three nights (Matthew 12:40). If Yahshua died on a Friday and rose again on a Sunday, then He would not have been in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights. This indicates that Yahshua must have been crucified on a different day of the week.
2. John 19:31 states that the day after Yahshua’s crucifixion was a Sabbath day, which was a high day (or special Shabbat). This indicates that the day after Yahshua’s crucifixion was not a regular weekly Sabbath but a special Sabbath that would have fallen on the 15th of Nisan, which is the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. 3. Mark 15:42 states that Yahshua was buried just before a Sabbath. However, if Yahshua was crucified on a Friday, then this Sabbath would have been the regular weekly Sabbath. But since the Bible refers to this Sabbath as a high day, it must have been a special Sabbath, which is consistent with the argument that Yahshua was crucified on a different day of the week.
Here are 2 additional biblical proofs why we believe that Yahshua did not die on a Friday and risen on a Sunday:
1. The Passover meal:
According to some interpretations of the Gospel accounts, the Last Supper that Yahshua shared with His disciples was actually a Passover meal. Passover is always celebrated on the 14th day of the Jewish month of Nisan, which can fall on different days of the week depending on the year.
If the Last Supper was indeed a Passover meal, then Yahshua would have been crucified on the following day, which could have been a Wednesday.
2. The Jewish calendar:
According to the Jewish calendar, a day starts at sundown and ends at sundown the next day. Therefore, if Yahshua was crucified on Friday afternoon, and resurrected on Sunday morning, He would have been in the tomb for only parts of three days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and two nights (Friday and Saturday), not three days and three nights.
However, if Yahshua was crucified on Wednesday afternoon, He would have been in the tomb for parts of Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (three days) and all of Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights (three nights), as well as part of Saturday and all of Saturday night, a correct and accurate timeline in which He’s risen!
In conclusion, while the Wednesday theory of Yahshua’s death and Saturday resurrection may be less well-known, it offers true and faithful facts over the traditional timeline. When Yahshua rose on a Saturday, the fact remains that He was dead for three full days and nights and was resurrected by the power of Yahweh. This is a truth that all believers and followers of Yahshua must hold dear, and one that has to be known and continue to be done for generations to come.
And yes, the Bible tells us that Yahshua is alive and well, and that He is sitting at the right hand of Elohim in heaven. This belief is supported by numerous passages in the New Testament, and holds great significance for the Jews and Christians around the world.
It is a powerful reminder of the love and sacrifice that Yahshua demonstrated on the stake, and of the hope that we have in Him. As John 11:25-26 says, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in Me will never die.”
The fact that Yahshua is alive today holds great significance for the Jews and Christians all over the world. It reminds us that death is not the end, and that there is hope beyond this life. As Hebrews 9:27-28 says, “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Yahshua was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him.”
Now that you know the truth about the death and the resurrection of Yahshua the Messiah, I pray: May Yahweh bless you and keep you; may Yahweh make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; may Yahweh lift up His countenance upon you and give you His peace. In Yahshua’s name, I pray to Yahweh, halleluyah! Amen.
