The Eighth Last Great Day Feast
In spite of the missionary zeal of so many over the centuries, far more people seems to have been lost than saved. If Heavenly Father Yahweh is truly all powerful, why have so many not even heard the real gospel of salvation? The traditional portrayal of conflict between Yahweh and Satan the devil over mankind seems to leave Yahweh on the losing side of the struggle. What is the fate of these people? What does Almighty Yahweh have in mind for those who have never believed in Yahshua the Messiah or understood any of Yahweh’s truth? How does the Creator provide for them in His salvation plan? Are they lost forever without any hope of salvation? Is Yahweh desperately trying to save the whole world in this age? Does Yahshua’s mission to save humanity failed? After all, over the centuries billions of people have lived and died without hearing the name of the Savior of mankind Yahshua! Even now thousands die every day never having heard of the Messiah. Are these people in the past or in present time who have never heard of Yahshua the Messiah now lost forever without any hope of salvation? We should not doubt Eternal Yahweh’s saving power! In today’s message, we are going to teach you about the seventh life-saving festival of the Creator Yahweh called the Eighth Day or Last Great Day Feast. As always, we ask the Holy Spirit of Yahweh to give us wisdom in teaching you about this sacred annual Feast!
Our Heavenly Father Yahweh sanctioned the Eighth Day as a time for His people to assemble before Him. The Bible says: “For seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh. It is a sacred assembly, and you shall do no customary work on it” (Leviticus 23:36). Following the Feast of Tabernacles is the final feast day of Yahweh. This “extra” day may appear to be just an extension of the seven-day feast. Yet it is a separate and distinct holy festival. Now this last of the commanded annual festivals has a profound meaning in the master plan of Yahweh to save mankind. This holy feast symbolizes the time of salvation for billions of people! Many today worry about their loved ones who died without receiving salvation through Yahshua the Messiah. They fret and mourn over these loved ones who never repented of sin and never received baptism being lost, doomed forever in an ever-burning hellfire. But Yahweh is an Elohim of love. He’ll never allow any human being to be lost without first being given a very fair opportunity to hear and understand the true gospel! He’ll offer salvation to those who have gone to their graves without adequate knowledge of His truth. This last feast covers the period of the Great White Throne Judgement, which deals with a time when the great majority of the earth’s dead peoples will be resurrected unto life and will come to know Yahweh for the first time!
The Eighth Last Great Day Feast will be a time of thorough evaluation for resurrected peoples, with the Bible as the standard and their instruction book, while the Book of Life is opened to them to be inscribed in if they accept Yahshua as their Savior and go through the sacred feast-steps of salvation. As the apostle Paul said: “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of Yahweh our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:3-4). Yahshua the Messiah’s imagery of the fulfillment of the Eighth-Day festival as described by the apostle John fits here perfectly: “Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before Yahweh, and books were opened (books of the Bible opened to understanding and as the basis for judgement) And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works (over a period of time after Yahweh reveals His truth to them), by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death (a great enemy) and Hades (the grave) delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works (Revelation 20:11-13). Note the judgement in this time is not an immediate sentencing but an evaluation over the new lifetimes of those resurrected—just as those in Yahweh’s Church or Assembly now are judged over the course of their lives today!
The Eighth Day festival, then, pictures the time yet coming in Yahweh’s timetable when those who have never had the full opportunity to accept Yahshua as Master and Savior will be raised from their graves and given the opportunity to truly learn the truth. The Eighth Day celebrates the last and greatest of all spiritual harvest periods. It includes the glorious resurrection to physical life of all human beings who lived since Adam without receiving the opportunity to be saved. This will be their day of salvation (Revelation 20:11-13; Ezekiel 37:12). The Last Great Day depicts a time in the future where Satan and the false prophet are already casted in the lake of fire and taken out of the picture for good (Revelation 20:7-10). This is also a period where Yahshua the Messiah has been appointed to judge all of humanity (John 5:26-27; Romans 14:10). As we’ve already mentioned, this does not mean immediate condemnation to death but an evaluation period, since the Book of Life is opened—meaning a great opportunity is opened to receive Yahweh’s Spirit and have one’s name written into it. The apostle Paul here refers to those “who labored with me in the gospel…and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life” (Philippians 4:3). Yahshua the Messiah will carry out the central role of this final feast, that of lovingly and mercifully offering the multitudes of the uninformed and the deceived an opportunity for conversion and salvation and then rewarding them according to the life they live. Thus, the seven annual feasts of Yahweh are “a shadow of things to come” (genuine Christians already observe them today) and Yahshua is at the center of all of them. He has not brought them yet to final fulfillment; that will only occur in the coming Kingdom of Yahweh.
Furthermore, the seven annual feast days of Yahweh are a separate and distinct holy festivals that symbolizes His master plan in saving mankind. The sacred feasts pictures Yahshua the Messiah! Notice that Yahshua is our Passover who redeems us. He is the Unleavened Bread that purifies us and the One who leads us out of sin. He sent the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, through which He lives in us. He is the coming King heralded by the end-time blast of the Trumpets. He is the One who will banish Satan the devil and intercede for mankind as High Priest. He will Tabernacle with human beings on earth as King of Kings. And finally, He is to judge mankind and offer the great majority of peoples to have their names written in the Book of Life. This is why genuine Yahweh’s Church or Assembly and our faithful and humble ministry kept these commanded feasts as shown in the Old and New Testament of the Bible. This is why these holy feasts are still to be kept—to remind us of the central role Yahshua the Messiah has in carrying out the plan of Elohim the Father. The Holy Days of Yahweh give us an overview of Yahweh’s great plan of salvation for the entire humankind. The fulfillment of these days is dependent upon the One who became a man, who died for our sins, who now sits at the right hand of the Father, and who will soon return to rule the whole earth. He is the Savior of mankind and His true and only name is no other than Yahshua!
In closing, our Creator wants “all men to be saved” (1 Timothy 2:4) and He is “not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). Yahweh’s feasts in Leviticus 23 portray the salvation of all humankind for all time! Yahshua the Messiah, His apostles, and the early Church or Assembly of Yahweh faithfully kept them—understanding that they pictured great events yet to come. What a wonderful plan of Yahweh we have in front of us. It is His great gift and Yahshua to all of us! Through His wonderful plan everyone will have an opportunity to know His truth, repent and receive salvation! Now the Eternal Yahweh has revealed the meaning of these occasions to you through this humble and faithful ministry of ours. Isn’t it about time you honored Him and started keeping them yourself? Isn’t it time you looked into these biblical festivals and what they have to teach us about Creator Yahweh’s plan? May you truly heed and hear Yahweh’s call to observe His festivals as part of the condition of obedience He has set for you and all people to remain in His plan of salvation—both for now and forever! May Yahweh and Yahshua bless you and keep you. We pray the Holy Spirit of Eternal Yahweh opens your heart, eyes and mind to this true and faithful message! Peace and love to all of you, especially to our brethren of same faith. All these things we ask and pray in the saving name of Yahshua Messiah, Amen. Shalom. Halleluyah to the Eighth Last Great Day Feast!
