Yahshua Messiah Did Not Abolish Yahweh’s Laws

Did the coming of Yahshua the Messiah abolished Yahweh’s laws? Did Yahshua Who died on a stake meant getting away or being done away with the laws of His Father Yahweh? The popular belief of many religious clergies, and sad to say, even many professing Christians, is that the New Testament abolishes Yahweh’s law in the Old Testament. Is that true? Or is it one of the many erroneous and fabricated man-made teaching that has been circulating around in the open or close pulpits out there? Well, why don’t we let the Bible interpret itself to give us the correct answer.

The Bible tells us that Yahshua the Messiah came as the Mediator of a better covenant (Hebrews 8:6). Yahweh tells us that He modified the original covenant (Old Testament) and made “a better covenant, which was established on better promises.” But it was not established on different laws. The law stayed the same! There was, however, a fault with the people, not with the law. Yahweh says: “Behold, the days are coming, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah (Hebrews 8:8). It was because the people “did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says Yahweh.” (Hebrews 8:9).

In the New Covenant, Yahweh writes the law in the minds and hearts of His people (Hebrews 8:10), whereas in the Old Covenant Yahweh wrote the law externally on tablets of stone, meaning, not part of the peoples’ thinking and their motives. To enable people to internalize His law (to love it and obey it eagerly and willingly) Yahweh makes this promise: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep my judgments and do them.” (Ezekiel 36:26-27). It is very clear that Yahweh’s Spirit enables His people to obey His laws. The main point here to remember is obedience to the law and not disobedience of the law!

People who don’t have the Holy Spirit in them are incapable of fully obeying the law of Yahweh. Why? The Bible says: “For the mindset of the flesh is hostile to Yahweh because it does not submit itself to Yahweh’s law. For those whose lives are in the flesh are unable to please Yahweh (Romans 8:7-8). This is why so many Christians, including a very huge number of teachers and preachers of the Bible of today’s generation gets utterly confused understanding and explaining the utmost importance of obedience to the law of Yahweh! Beware of people who are actively preaching and teaching the Ten Commandments of Yahweh as being abolish already or done away with in the New Testament. These people are making a really big mistake, as they’re blasphemers and liars in the eyes of Yahweh already! Yahweh is not going to contradict His Words ever in all of the Bible because He is not the Author of confusion, Satan is!

The apostle Paul explains that “what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh” Yahweh has accomplished by sending Yahshua the Messiah, who overcame the flesh and condemned sin (lawlessness) in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit” (of Yahweh) (Romans 8:3-4; 1 John 3:4). Yahshua the Messiah validated the importance of obeying the law of Yahweh and He made this truth known to His disciples on His sermon on the mount: “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets, I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.” (Matthew 5:17). Could the Savior be any clearer than that? Note that Yahshua did not say “I did not come to destroy the law, but to end it by fulfilling it.”

Yahshua the Messiah magnified the law and made it more broadly applicable, not that it was annulled or no longer necessary! The Savior did not change the law! Yahshua clearly showed His disciples the holy, spiritual intent, purpose and scope of Yahweh’s law through His teachings and manner of life. Yahshua met all the law’s requirements by obeying it perfectly in thought and deed, both in the letter and in the intent of the heart. Those who say that Yahshua departed from the authority of the Old Testament scriptures are simply wrong and are deceived by the God of this world, Satan the devil. Yahshua is always consistent, “the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)

In closing, in the Old Testament it says: “Yahweh is well pleased for His righteousness’ sake; He will exalt the law, and make it honorable.” (Isaiah 42:21). The Almighty Father also said: “I am Yahweh, I do not change” (Malachi 3:6). We pray the most Holy and Mighty Yahweh, the Creator of humankind and the heavens and the earth, opens your eyes and ears to the truth. May Yahweh and Yahshua Messiah bless you all.
